Agricultural Equipment Technician

Company operating name: Appleyard Land And Cattle Business address: #106, 304 3 Avenue, Strathmore, AB T1P 1Z1 Location of work: Various locations in and around Strathmore, AB Title of position: Agricultural Equipment Technician Positions available: 1 Job duties: - Inspect a wide variety of agricultural equipment to diagnose problems and malfunctions in order to determine appropriate repair or maintenance work required - Adjust, replace, and repair parts and accessories using a variety of hand and power tools - Perform routine maintenance, such as lubrication, fluid checks, and required cleaning - Keep work area clean and safe, and adhere to all required safety standards set by the company, and perform regular worksite cleanings to prevent debris and contamination buildup - Keep written and/or digital records of maintenance and repairs done on equipment, and follow-up with supervisor, as necessary Terms of employment: Full-time, permanent; day shift with occasional weekends; approximately 40-50 hours per week; overtime may be required during busy seasons of the year Wage: $43.00/hour Benefits: Health coverage, dental benefits, long-term and short-term disability, life insurance; available to all full-time employees How to apply: Phone: 403-983-0293 (between 10am and 4pm) E-mail: lexi@appleyardlc.com Education required: Completion of apprenticeship program in Agricultural Equipment Technician, or a similar field (like heavy duty equipment mechanic) is required. Five years of experience working in this position may substitute for required education. Work experience required: Minimum of 5 years working in agricultural equipment technician, or similar field (like heavy duty equipment mechanic) is required for the position. Completion of apprenticeship program in these fields may substitute for required work experience. Language requirement: Fluent communication in English is required for the position. Skills required: Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds; must be able to stand for extended periods of time
