Canadian résumé tips for newcomers

  • Do not include a photo, your age, marital status, or religion. Canadian employers don't ask for these.
  • List experience in reverse order — most recent job first.
  • Start bullet points with action verbs (Cared for, Managed, Assisted).
  • Keep it to 1–2 pages. Add your city and province, not your full home address.
  • Mention Canadian certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, CPR) if you have them.
