Pest Control Technician

Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Schedule: Early morning, evening, flexible hours, weekends; overtime required Start Date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 1 About the Role Imperial Pest Control Inc., located in Etobicoke, ON, is looking for an experienced Pest Control Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an on-site, hands-on role serving residential and commercial clients at various locations across the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate will inspect properties, identify pest and wildlife issues, and apply safe, effective treatment methods in accordance with provincial regulations. Responsibilities • Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation • Provide clients with cost estimates for treatment • Determine the appropriate type of treatment required • Prepare and apply/spray chemical mixtures on infested areas • Fumigate households as required • Place and set traps to capture and remove animals • Install animal control barriers to keep animals off property • Clean out areas that harbour pests • Advise clients on how to prevent future pest infestations Requirements • Languages: English • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a related role • Certificate/Licence: Valid Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence (required) • Valid driver's licence required; a vehicle is supplied by the employer (travel expenses are not paid separately) • Equipment experience: electrical sprayers, needle strips • Own cellular phone required Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities • Physically demanding work • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day Personal Suitability • Strong client focus and efficient interpersonal skills • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and job sites • Team player Security and Safety • Must successfully complete a criminal record check • Must successfully complete a driver's licence validity check Work Setting This position involves on-site customer service at various client locations. Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option to work remotely.
