Countertop Installer

Employer: Nuvo Cabinets and Stones Ltd. Work location: 1816 A 25 Ave NECalgary, AB T2E 7K1 Wage: 36.00 hourly / 35 hours per week Nature of employment: Term or contract & Full time (Morning, Night, Day, Weekend, Overtime required) Start date: Starts as soon as possible Number of vacancy: 1 Languages: English On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. Work setting • Renovation • Various locations • Installation Job duties: • Install and secure interior prefabricated kitchen countertops, cabinets, backsplashes, and related materials according to specifications and customer requirements. • Provide professional customer service on job sites by communicating installation progress, answering customer questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Read blueprints, drawings, measurements, and specifications to determine installation requirements and verify project dimensions before installation. • Repair, adjust, replace, and service damaged or improperly fitted kitchen countertops and related interior prefabricated products when required. • Determine layout and installation procedures for kitchen countertops, including positioning, leveling, joining, and sealing countertop sections. • Measure kitchen areas and mark guidelines to ensure accurate countertop fitting, alignment, and installation. • Prepare and maintain installation materials, adhesives, sealants, tools, and supplies to ensure efficient workflow and safe work practices. • Load and unload countertops, materials, tools, and equipment from trucks while handling products carefully to prevent damage during transportation and installation. • Utilize hand and power tools such as tape measures, levels, drills, grinders, saws, polishers, and caulking tools to cut, fit, secure, and finish countertop installations safely and accurately. Qualifications: • Completion of secondary school is mandatory. • At least two years of work experience in countertop installation, cabinetry installation, interior finishing, construction, or related trades is an asset. • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, measurements, and installation specifications accurately. • Familiarity with kitchen countertop materials such as quartz, granite, laminate, marble, or solid surface materials is preferred. • Experience using hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, saws, polishers, levels, and measuring tools safely and effectively. • Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with clients on installation sites.
