Construction Helper

Construction Helper GAD Systems Ltd. located at Langley, British Columbia is looking for Construction Helper. This is a full-time position with 35 hours of work per week. Wages per hour will be $25.00. Following are some of the job duties: • Load, unload, and move drywall sheets, metal studs, insulation, and related construction materials to designated work areas at residential and commercial sites. • Assist drywall installers by preparing work areas, erecting and dismantling scaffolding and ladders, and holding, positioning, and securing drywall panels during installation. • Mix, prepare, and distribute joint compound and other materials, and support taping, mudding, and finishing activities as directed by tradespersons. • Operate and tend basic construction equipment and hand tools and perform routine cleaning and maintenance of tools and work areas. • Remove construction debris, scrap drywall, and packaging materials, maintain a clean and safe job site, and follow workplace safety procedures and directions from tradespersons. Job Requirements: • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including repetitive tasks. • Previous construction or drywall experience is an asset, but not required.
