Company operating name: Victoria Hyundai Business address: 2930 Brickshire Drive #104, Langford, BC, V9B 7K1 Position: Automotive service technician Job duties: • Discuss work with supervisor • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions (computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults) • Inspect motor in operation • Review work orders • Road test motor vehicles • Test automotive systems and components • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems (fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment) • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications • Perform scheduled maintenance service (oil changes, lubrications and tune ups) • Test and adjust units to specifications • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements • Complete reports to record problems and work performed • Maintain clean and safe work environment (service bays and equipment used and shop area generally) Terms of employment: Permanent position. 40 hours per week.
