Job Description
Work Location: 8088 Spires Gate Richmond, British Columbia V6Y 4J6 Wage: $20.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week Nature of employment: Term or contract & Full time (Early morning, Evening, Morning, Weekend) Start date: As soon as possible Number of vacancy: 1 Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment: Non-smoking Work setting: Employer's home Job Duties • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home • Prepare and serve nutritious meals • Prepare infants and children for rest periods • Supervise and care for children • Take children to and from school and to appointments • Tend to emotional well-being of children Organize, activities such as games and outings for children Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses • CPR Certificate • First Aid Certificate Security and safety • Criminal record check • Medical exam Transportation/travel information • Own vehicle • Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities • Attention to detail Personal suitability • Excellent oral communication • Time management • Patience • Honesty Support for Youth Applicants •This employer welcomes applications from youth, including recent secondary school graduates and individuals starting their careers in home childcare. •On-the-job training will be provided to support youth in developing caregiving skills and workplace experience. •The employer promotes a respectful and inclusive work environment and provides awareness training to ensure a welcoming workplace for young workers.
