Prepare and cook full meals or specific dishes according to recipes. Accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances by preparing dishes accordingly. Develop menus, decide on portion sizes, estimate food needs and costs, and oversee supply management. Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with regulations. Provide training to staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures. Place orders for necessary supplies and equipment. Keep detailed records of food inventory, supplies, and equipment. Ensure cleanliness in the kitchen and work areas by regularly cleaning and sanitizing. Recruit and hire kitchen staff as needed. Manage overall kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
